Remembering times when I definitely got the "rings" wrong. And thinking how too-easy it is to take communication for granted, surrounded as we all are by non-stop "chatter" of all sorts. Your words "cut to the chase" and all the more powerful for their honesty and economy. Sorry, but what? It was MY son who passed away and I could have done with your love, company and care!)
People will be people and some are less sensitive than others. Some are just too caught up with themselves and their own little world.
May God give us the grace to use our ears and mouth as God intended. He gave us 2 ears and 1 mouth - listen twice as much as you speak and when you do speak, consider how it is going to sound to the person who is hearing it.
God bless you Debbie and I do pray for you, Mike and the family.
Much love. It is a very precarious place in that first ring, You feel the hurt, the exhaustion but also the need to be polite to people who are just being kind. I hope I didn't snap at anybody but I could have, easily. A fine balancing act.
Brianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11914968776885085122noreply@blogger.com
